Lewis Hamilton, con la sua Mercedes, è in pole position al Gp di Francia a Le Castellet, girando in 1:28.319. Secondo tempo per il suo compagno di team, il finlandese Valtteri Bottas, terzo tempo per la Ferrari del monegasco Charles Leclerc. Solo settima l'altra Rossa, quella del tedesco Sebastian Vettel.
