Adesso il Costa Rica ci crede. Non si nasconde più e a tre giorni dal match contro l’Italia sogna il primo posto nel gruppo. Armi segrete? «No, nessuna», dicono i giocatori. Ma poi, quasi tutti, compreso lo staff tecnico, parlano del caldo di Recife: «Noi ci siamo abituati, l’Italia meno». «La nostra motivazione è al top», ha spiegato dopo l’allenamento, rigidamente a porte chiuse, il centrocampista Christian Bolanos (nella foto). «L’Italia è fortissima e la rispettiamo. Fra noi ne parliamo moltissimo, ma alla fine nel calcio conta molto come ti senti. E noi ci sentiamo bene e ci stiamo preparando benissimo, anche tatticamente. Perché le partite del Mondiale sono molto tattiche, chiuse». Ma quante speranze avete di battere l’Italia? «Se prendiamo uno per uno i giocatori azzurri», ha ammesso il centrocampista del Copenaghen, «diventa inutile paragonarsi ai valori dell’Italia. Ma cercheremo comunque di complicare loro la vita. Non dimentichiamo il clima: a Recife farà caldissimo».
